LOCKOUTS AND KEYS Sample Clauses

The "Lockouts and Keys" clause defines the rights and responsibilities of parties regarding access to a leased property, specifically addressing the control and distribution of keys and the procedures for lockouts. Typically, this clause outlines who is authorized to possess keys, the process for obtaining replacement keys if lost, and the steps to follow if a tenant is locked out, such as contacting the landlord or paying a fee for re-entry. Its core practical function is to ensure security and clear access protocols for both landlords and tenants, thereby preventing unauthorized entry and resolving access issues efficiently.
