Management Incentive Pay. Full-time management employees shall receive management incentive pay at the rate of 80 hours per calendar year; such amount shall be paid equally at each pay period. Such pay is given in recognition of the unique nature of their position (e.g. projects, resolution of difficult issues). Department Heads shall receive management incentive pay at the rate of 120 hours per calendar year; such amount shall be paid equally at each pay period. Such pay is given in recognition of the unique nature of their position (e.g. program direction, policy determination). Department Heads shall be subject to an annual performance review by the City Manager. The City Manager, in their sole discretion, may award additional pay based on performance, pursuant to the provisions of the Personnel Rules or other granted authority.

Management Incentive Pay. Full-time Association employees shall receive management incentive pay at the rate of 80 hours per calendar year, which will be rolled into base salary effective January 1, 2023.
Management Incentive Pay. The City Manager may approve a 5 1⁄2% Management Incentive payment to the rate of base pay to recognize excellence in performance. Continuance of pay is reviewed annually and is measured against predetermined goals and objectives.

Management Incentive Pay. In recognition of the unique nature of the Alameda Police Managers Association member’s job responsibilities and special skills, knowledge and abilities that are required, are granted Management Incentive Pay (MIP). Employees shall receive an additional 4.55% calculated on their base annual salary earned equally throughout the year over 26 pay periods. The compensation is paid as earned for normally required duties performed during normal work hours. It is not compensation in lieu of overtime or in lieu of other benefits that are excluded from consideration under the statutes and regulations of the Public Employees’ Retirement System. Management Incentive Pay shall be administered as per 2 C.C.R. Sec 571 (a) (1).
Management Incentive Pay. Group employees assigned to non-shift administrative positions shall receive 193 hours of management incentive credit each calendar year. Such credit shall not be available for use as time off and shall be paid as salary compensation at the employee’s regular rate of pay in the second paycheck in November of each year. Group employees appointed or promoted to a Group non-shift assignment during the year shall receive a pro-rated amount of management incentive hours based on the portion of the calendar year that the employee serves in that non- shift assignment.

Such time shall be paid at the employee’s regular rate of pay. Upon implementation, eligible unit employees shall receive a prorated amount of Management Incentive pay for the period of January 1, 2023, up to the effective date of implementation.
Management Incentive Pay. Effective upon full execution of this MOU, unit employees shall cease receiving 2% Management Incentive Pay. The 2% special compensation received as Management Incentive Pay shall be added to unit employees’ base monthly salary.
