Master's and Doctor's Degrees Clause Samples

The "Master's and Doctor's Degrees" clause defines the requirements and conditions related to the awarding of advanced academic degrees such as master's and doctoral degrees. It typically outlines the necessary qualifications, coursework, research, examinations, and any thesis or dissertation requirements that candidates must fulfill to be eligible for these degrees. For example, it may specify the minimum number of credits, the need for original research, or the process for submitting and defending a dissertation. Master's and Doctor's Degrees. Eight percent (8%) of the state minimum salary is added for the Master's degree. Ten percent (10%) of the state minimum salary is added for the Doctor's degree. Thus an employee with both a Master's and Doctor's degree would receive a total of eighteen percent (18%). On the TRI schedule, 8% of the base amount and 10% of the base amount is added for the Master’s and Doctor’s degree respectively. Thus an employee with both degrees would receive an amount equal to eighteen percent (18%) of the TRI base.
Master's and Doctor's Degrees. One of the following shall be granted: each Bargaining Unit Member who holds a Master's degree, 1-1/2% of Column III/13 or, each Bargaining Unit Member who holds a Doctor's degree, 2- 1/2% of Column III/13.
