Common use of Maximization of Hours Clause in Contracts

Maximization of Hours. (a) The Union recognizes that the hours of work of Employees of the Company are directly determined by the contractual obligations between the Company and the client. Therefore, the hours of work will be determined by the Company and will be consistent with the requirements of the Client. (b) Notwithstanding 12.01(a) above and consistent with the Client requirements, the Company will attempt to schedule Employees to maximize the hours available at the Client site consistent with the principle of forty eight (48) hours per week and consistent with 12.02 (c) below. (c) The Company may schedule Employees at the client site to support, augment or replace regular Employees who are absent for any reason.
