Common use of Medication Management Services Clause in Contracts

Medication Management Services. CONTRACTOR shall provide Medication Management Services which include evaluation of need for medication; evaluation of clinical 16 effectiveness and side effects of medication; obtaining informed consent; medication education including 17 discussing risks, benefits, and alternatives with the Consumers or significant support persons; plan 18 development related to the delivery of services and/or to the status of the Consumer’s community functioning; and prescribing, dispensing, and administering of psychiatric medications. Medication 19 Management Services shall be provided by a licensed physician with a specialty in psychiatry or by a 20 licensed RN, NP, or an LPT under the supervision of a licensed psychiatrist, and in accordance with their scope of practice, CONTRACTOR is encouraged to follow COUNTY’s prescribing guidelines.
