Common use of Merit Board Clause in Contracts

Merit Board. All grievances of employees in representation units represented by the Association shall be processed under Section 24 – Grievance Procedure unless the employee elects to apply to the Merit Board on matters within its jurisdiction.

No action under Step 3, and 4, of Subsection 24.1- Grievance Procedure, Definition and Procedural Steps shall be taken if action on the complaint or grievance has been taken by the Merit Board, or if the complaint or grievance is pending before the Merit Board.
