Typically, this clause applies to sales, purchases, or production agreements, where one party is obligated to achieve or exceed a set quantity, such as selling a minimum number of units or purchasing a minimum volume of goods each year. Its core practical function is to ensure consistent activity and commitment from the obligated party, thereby providing predictability and protecting the interests of the other party in the agreement.
