Effective 30 days following ratification of this contract, each PhD student shall receive a stipend equal to or greater than $45,000 for a twelve (12)- month appointment as defined by our academic calendar. The University may pay more than the minimum rate at its discretion, so long as all similarly situated PhD Graduate Workers funded within a given Department or Program are paid at the same rate. 18.1(b) Twelve (12)-Month Support.
