Modern Language. A. A student who begins a language must complete course 1 and 2 of the same language B. Students whose native language is not English may demonstrate academic proficiency in English as a second language by passing the TOEFL examination with scores above 550. C. To meet the requirement students must demonstrate proficiency at the second semester level. If they have knowledge, and test into the second semester of the language, they need only take the second semester course, i.e., Span 2. D. Language courses must be college-level courses.
