Modify as follows. Five (5) working days of bereavement leave shall be granted to an employee upon the death of anyone in the employee's family. A maximum of five (5) working days' leave with pay shall be granted for each individual and separate bereavement during the school year. This time shall not be deducted from, but shall be in addition to any other leave provisions. For purposes of this Section, family is defined as: the employee's spouse, significant other, child, grandchild, mother, father, parent-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, grandparent, grandparent-in-law, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, or ▇▇▇▇▇▇’s aunt, uncle, ▇▇▇▇▇ or nephew, cousin, aunt and uncle. Administrative assistants, media technicians, network administrators and Paraprofessionals may take sick leave in ½ day increments.
