Monitoring Performance. (1) Teleworkers and non-teleworkers will be treated the same for the purposes of monitoring and assessing job performance. However, supervisors may, at their discretion, utilize different mechanisms for communicating with, and monitoring the work of, teleworking employees. (2) Employee performance while on telework must be monitored by the supervisor to ensure the timeliness, quality and quantity of the employee’s performance and that employees are indeed working and are working efficiently and effectively when scheduled.
