Motor and Drive a. Shall be belt drive with guard and adjustable motor sheave. Motor nameplate horsepower shall exceed brake horsepower by a minimum of 5% with airfoil. Belts shall be of the oil resistant type. Motor shall be especially designed for quiet operation. Provide and install VFD Variable Frequency Drive. b. Motor speed for VAV units shall be controlled by a variable frequency drive. All VFD’s shall be factory installed by the manufacturer.

  • Provisions of General Application (a) All accounting terms not specifically defined herein shall be construed in accordance with GAAP. (b) The terms defined in this Article include the plural as well as the singular.
