Music Lessons. Music lessons for currently enrolled full time degree-seeking students are $350 per semester above the cost of tuition (based on a minimum of ten half-hour lessons). There are no refunds after the second week of the semester. Music lessons for any less than full-time non degree seeking students are $600 per semester above the cost of tuition. Music Lessons a. The music lessons will be conducted over four terms each year. Tutors will provide at least one half hour private music lesson every week during the school term.
b. Music lessons will commence by week two of term one and in week one of the remaining terms.
c. Music lessons will be given between 8.30am and 3.30pm during school days.
d. Music lessons given outside these hours will be by agreement between parent/caregiver and the Tutor.
e. The Tutor will consider the class timetable when organising the music lessons.
f. The student must have an instrument of their own on which to practise. Guitar students must bring their instrument to school for their lessons.
g. If the student fails to bring their instrument, a theory lesson will be given.
h. The Tutor will actively communicate with parents about the student’s progress. A home practice book is to be used as a means of two-way communication between the parent/caregiver and the Tutor.
i. The Tutor’s appointment is by the Arawang Primary School P & C Music Tutor Scheme Committee only. The Tutor is not an employee of Arawang Primary or the Education and Training Directorate.
Music Lessons. A full lesson season is charged for participation in individual or duo music or singing lessons or Muziekmakers or Muziekbende, which take place from the start of the course year. The number of lessons are given or set off on a pro rata basis if the participant starts later. The aim is to make up the lessons at a different moment if lessons are cancelled due to the absence of the teacher or for other reasons. The course fee is not refunded including in the event the lessons cannot be made up. We aim to replace teachers who are absent for more than two weeks.
Music Lessons. All payments should be made directly to the Peripatetic Teacher via BACS payment into their Bank Account. Parents will receive an Invoice from the Peripatetic Tutor once a student has been allocated lessons. Invoices should be paid within the first two weeks of Instrumental lessons beginning The sum is £50 per child per year to raise funds for external building maintenance. However, if you wish to pledge more, we would be extremely grateful. Payment can be made online via ParentPay before the first week of term.
Music Lessons. Fees for music lessons will be invoiced in advance where possible and payment is due on or before the first day of the term to which the fees relate. Parents agree to give at least a full term’s notice in writing to withdraw the Pupil from individual music lessons. If less than a full term’s notice is given, then the full fee for the following term will be payable and no refund for the current term will be made. Should withdrawal from individual music lessons be as a result of consultations between the Parents and the School, then a refund may be made but always at the School’s sole discretion.
