Needle Stick and Sharps Injuries. K.1 The Hospital, in consultation with the Joint Health and Safety Committee, shall develop, implement and monitor a program for the prevention of needle stick and sharp injuries and the treatment of such injuries should they occur. The program should include and address employee training and education with respect to needle stick and sharps injury prevention, and provide for the maintenance of a needle stick/sharps injuries log to detail incidents. The program shall be evaluated annually by the Hospital in consultation with the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
