Network standards. 19.1 The Parties recognize that Qwest services and Network Elements have been purchased and deployed, over time, to Telcordia and Qwest technical standards. Specification of standards is built into the Qwest purchasing process, whereby vendors incorporate such standards into the equipment Qwest purchases. Qwest supplements generally held industry standards with Qwest Technical Publications. 19.2 The Parties recognize that equipment vendors may manufacture Telecommunications equipment that does not fully incorporate and may differ from industry standards at varying points in time (due to standards development processes and consensus) and either Party may have such equipment in place within its network.
