New Employee Notification. Applicants for City positions will be informed about the drug-free workplace policy on the vacancy announcement. During the screening process applicants will be notified of the testing requirements and that appointment to the position is contingent upon a negative pre-employment drug test. Upon hiring, new employees will receive a copy of the policy in the Employee Policy Handbook. F Employee Policy Confirmation Receipt: Employees will be required to sign a statement that confirms that he/she has received a copy of the alcohol and drug-free workplace policy. The statement will be maintained in the employee's personnel file.
