Common use of New Position Clause in Contracts

New Position. A position is considered to be a new position when the supervisor determines that a different kind or difficulty of work or level of responsibility is needed to meet the needs of the site, program, or department resulting in an abrupt rather than a gradual change. Does not include an increase in hours if position is already benefit eligible or number of weeks worked.
