Non-Sworn: Secondary Level Proficiency in Designated Languages. A non- sworn employee who successfully demonstrates the required level of bilingual fluency as determined by the chief personnel officer shall be paid a monthly differential of forty dollars ($40) above his or her then current base monthly salary step.
Non-Sworn: Secondary Level Proficiency in Designated Languages. A non-sworn employee who is assigned to a position where it has been determined by the Police Chief that regular and frequent bilingual usage is necessary to the performance of duties, but not a major, essential, or integral element of the work and who successfully demonstrates the required level of bilingual fluency as determined by the Executive Director of Human Resources or designee shall be paid forty dollars ($40) per month. Effective the first full pay period following July 1, 2024, a non- sworn employee who successfully demonstrates the required level of bilingual fluency as determined by the Executive Director of Human Resources or designee shall be paid seventy-five dollars ($75) per month.
