Notice/Procedure for Subcontracting Reductions. The Employer agrees that work normally performed by bargaining unit-covered employees will not be contracted and/or subcontracted to any outside sources, if such subcontract will result in the layoff of bargaining unit employees without the City first providing the Union with no less than sixty (60) days written notice of the intended subcontract and an opportunity for the Union to negotiate with the City the decision and effects of such subcontracting decision. The City has no present intent to subcontract bargaining unit work which will result in the layoff of bargaining unit employees during the term of this Agreement.
