Common use of Number of Apprentices Clause in Contracts

Number of Apprentices. (a) The number of apprentices that may be employed in the trade shall be in accordance with the following schedule: No. of No. of Journeymen Apprentices Machine Repair: 1-5 = 1 6-11 = 2 12-17 = 3 18-23 etc. = 4 Tool Maker: 1-5 = 1 6-11 etc. = 2 Electrician: 1-5 = 1 6-11 etc. = 2 Pipefitter: 1-5 = 1 6-11 etc. = 2 (b) Where there are no journeymen laid off or available in the trade, or where the impact of early retirement could create a skilled manpower shortage, the Parties may mutually agree to add apprentices over and above the number shown here.
