Common use of On Call Allowance Clause in Contracts

On Call Allowance. (a) An employee who, at the request of the employer, agrees to be on call and is rostered on call shall be paid the allowance, for each period of 24 hours or part thereof, set out in Item 14 of Table 5 of Schedule B to this Agreement. An employee on call agrees to make themselves ready and available to return at short notice to work at the employers’ or clients’ premises, whilst off duty. (b) An employee who is directed to remain on call during a meal break shall be paid the meal break allowance set out in Item 15 of Table 5 of Schedule B to this Agreement, provided that no allowance shall be paid if, during a period of 24 hours, including such period of on call, the employee is entitled to receive the allowance prescribed in sub-clause 20.5(a). (c) Where an employee on call in accordance with sub-clause 20.5(a), leaves the residential aged care facility and is recalled to duty, she or he shall be reimbursed all reasonable fares and expenses actually incurred. Where in these circumstances the employee elects to use his or her own vehicle the employee shall be paid the per kilometre allowance set out in Item 6 of Table 5 of Schedule B to this Agreement. (d) This subclause shall not apply to a Director of Nursing, Deputy Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing or CSE 5 employee.

An employee on call agrees to make themselves ready and available to return at short notice to work at the employers’ or clients’ premises, whilst off duty. (b) An employee who is directed to remain on site and on call during a meal break shall be paid the meal break on call allowance as set out in Item 15 Table Two of Table 5 of Schedule B to this Agreementagreement, provided that no allowance shall be paid if, during a period of 24 hours, including such period of on call, call the employee is entitled to receive the allowance prescribed in sub-clause 20.5(a)18.6.a. (c) Where an employee on call in accordance with sub-clause 20.5(a)18.7.a, leaves the residential aged care facility centre and is recalled to duty, she or he shall be reimbursed all reasonable fares and expenses actually incurred. Where in these circumstances the employee elects to use his or her own vehicle the employee shall be paid the per kilometre allowance set out in Item 6 of Table 5 Two of Schedule B to this Agreement. (d) This subclause shall not apply An employee who agrees to a Director be on call whilst on an Accrued Day Off (ADO), the employee will be paid an ‘On call during an ADO’ allowance as set out in Table Two of Nursing, Deputy Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing or CSE 5 employeeSchedule B to this Agreement.

An employee on call agrees to make themselves ready and available to return at short notice to work at the employers’ or clients’ premises, whilst off duty. (b) An employee who is directed required to remain on call be available to work during a meal break shall be paid the meal break allowance set out in Item 15 of Table 5 3 of Schedule B to this Agreement, provided that no allowance shall be paid if, during a period of 24 twenty-four (24) hours, including such period of on call, the employee is entitled to receive the allowance prescribed in sub-clause 20.5(a21.5(a). (c) Where an employee on call in accordance with sub-clause 20.5(a21.5(a), leaves the residential aged care facility and is recalled to duty, she or he shall be paid for a minimum of three hours work at the appropriate overtime rate and reimbursed all reasonable fares and expenses actually incurred. Where in these circumstances the employee elects to use his or her own vehicle the employee shall be paid the per kilometre allowance set out in Item 6 of Table 5 3 of Schedule B to this Agreement. (d) This subclause shall An employee who is recalled to work will not apply be obliged to work for three hours if the work for which the employee was recalled is completed within a Director of Nursing, Deputy Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing or CSE 5 employeeshorter period.
