Optional Fields. 1. Click Optional Fields on Setup screen to display the following screen:
2. Some of the fields are described below: Table From the drop-down list you may choose Borrower or Loan to indicate the table to which the optional Field will be associated. Field Name Enter the name of the field, e.g., Loan Type, Credit Rating etc., maximum 20 alphanumeric characters. Field Type You may choose the Field Type from the drop-down list. Following are the valid field types: Text Use this type to define descriptive fields such as Loan Type or Property Type (e.g., Commercial, Residential etc.) Number Use this type to define numeric data, e.g., credit rating, appraised value etc. Yes/No Use this type to define fields that require a yes or no answer, e.g., Zoning appropriate? Date Use this field to define dates, e.g., Realty Tax Due Date, Insurance Premium Due Date etc. Validation Type You may choose the Validation Type from the drop-down list. Following are the valid validation types: No Validation The system will accept any value including blanks. List You may define a set of values, e.g., for Type of Loan you may define First, Second, Third etc. If you choose List as the validation type a list of values opens and you may enter allowable values. If you define your values as codes, e.g., 1, 2, 3 etc. you may enter a description to explain the significance of each value. The system stores the description but does not use it anywhere. Range Use this validation type if the value must be between a certain minimum and maximum. Non-Blank You may enter any value if you do not leave the field blank. Existing Fields Displays a table containing all fields already defined. If you want to make changes to a field, just click on it to copy it into the data entry area on the top of the screen.
3. To set up a new Optional Field, click New to clear the screen. Enter the name of the field. If the record is already present in the table, the data is displayed, and the fields could be modified. Since field names are textual you may end up setting up multiple fields with slight differences in the spellings. If you have made a spelling error, delete the field and set it up again before assigning it to a table.
4. To modify an existing record, select field from the Existing Fields area. Save to save changes.
5. To delete a record, click Delete.
Optional Fields. Symyx may engage in discussions with Third Parties regarding possible collaboration in any Optional Field. Prior to making a formal proposal to a Third Party to collaborate in an Optional Field, Symyx will notify ExxonMobil and ExxonMobil shall give written notice to Symyx within * informing Symyx whether ExxonMobil or an ExxonMobil Affiliate is interested in negotiating with Symyx to activate a Project in such Optional Field. In the event ExxonMobil notifies Symyx that it or an ExxonMobil Affiliate is interested, good faith negotiations shall commence promptly and continue for a period not to exceed * from the giving of such notice by ExxonMobil to activate a collaboration in such Optional Field*. If ExxonMobil and Symyx agree to establish such a collaboration, then such Optional Field shall become part of the ExxonMobil Exclusive Fields (and shall no longer be an Optional Field and shall not be within the Symyx Proprietary Fields) and such collaboration may, at ExxonMobil's option, be substituted for an existing or planned Project. If the parties have not agreed to establish such a collaboration within such * period, Symyx shall be free to engage in a collaboration in such Optional Field with a Third Party, *, and in such event, such Optional Field shall thereafter be excluded from both the Optional Fields and ExxonMobil Exclusive Fields (but shall remain within the ExxonMobil Business Areas if otherwise within the definition of the ExxonMobil Business Areas). Notwithstanding the above, in the event that ExxonMobil or or its Designee, during the Research Program Term, engages in a collaborative research program in any Optional Field with a Third Party provider of Combinatorial Chemistry services, or becomes aware of a Majority Owned Affiliate engaging in such activities, ExxonMobil shall promptly notify Symyx in writing. In such event, ExxonMobil or its Designee shall either (i) terminate or cause its Majority Owned Affiliate to terminate such collaborative research program with the Third Party provider of Combinatorial Chemistry services within *, or (ii) such Optional Field * Confidential treatment requested shall thereafter be excluded from both the Optional Fields and ExxonMobil Exclusive Fields (but shall remain within the ExxonMobil Business Areas if otherwise within the definition of the ExxonMobil Business Areas).

Optional Fields. In certain circumstances, you may be asked to enter additional information to allow Medicare Australia to assess the service and process the claim. Omission of this information may result in either a rejection or Medicare Australia contacting you for clarification. Examples of optional fields include, Item Override Code, Equipment Identification Number, Self Deemed Code, Account Reference Number and Location Specific Practice Number (LSPN). Please refer to your Medicare Easyclaim Reference Guide to view definitions of the above optional fields. The Medicare Easyclaim Reference Guide is included in the Medicare Easyclaim Starter Kit and is available directly from Medicare Australia.
