Optional Maintenance Clause Samples

The Optional Maintenance clause allows one party, typically the customer, to choose whether or not to purchase ongoing maintenance services for a product or system. In practice, this clause outlines the terms under which maintenance can be requested, such as the scope of services, associated fees, and the process for opting in or out. Its core function is to provide flexibility, enabling parties to tailor maintenance arrangements to their specific needs and budgets, and to avoid obligating the customer to pay for services they may not require.
