Order of Lay-Offs. (a) Where it becomes necessary to reduce staffing levels, employees will be laid off in the following order: • Temporary staff with no seniority • Temporary full-time staff will be reduced to part-time status • Part-time staff, in reverse order of seniority • Full-time staff, in reverse order of seniority (b) The Employer shall not hire any new employee to perform work customarily and regularly performed by Bargaining Unit employees while a qualified Bargaining Unit member is on lay off with recall rights.
