OTHER MATERIAL OR WORK DAMAGED Sample Clauses

The 'Other Material or Work Damaged' clause establishes the responsibility for repairing or compensating for damage to materials or work that occurs during a project. Typically, this clause requires the party responsible for the damage—often the contractor or subcontractor—to restore or replace any affected materials, equipment, or completed work at their own expense. For example, if a subcontractor accidentally damages finished flooring while installing electrical wiring, they would be obligated to repair or replace the flooring. This clause ensures accountability for accidental damage, helping to maintain project quality and prevent disputes over repair costs.
