Overall. a. The decisions as to what constitutes acceptable duties in calculating workload should be made within the departments and divisions. A faculty member’s Chair(s) and ▇▇▇▇(s), in consultation with the faculty member, will determine an individual faculty member’s loading. b. Inherently, workload should be based on an individual faculty member’s assignment within the University; comparisons between departments should be used judiciously. c. Equity across all programs, departments, and divisions in terms of what constitutes acceptable loading is not a realistic goal; however, parity is a realistic goal and should be strived for.
