Courtesy Pay means that we may in our discretion honor and pay your checks or items drawn against insufficient funds so that your checks or transactions are not returned unpaid. For overdrafts resulting from ATM and debit card purchase transactions you must opt-in to the Courtesy Pay service for these accounts before we can offer the service or charge a fee for payment of any overdrafts. For all other transactions, Courtesy Pay is made available only to members meeting specific qualifying criteria. In order to be eligible to receive Courtesy Pay you must be a member in good standing. Should the Credit Unionbank pay your account into overdraft status, you agree to bring your account balance positive within a reasonable timeframe. In additionIf your account remains at a negative balance for four (4) consecutive business days, your account will be assessed a Continual Negative Balance fee (as defined in the Fee Schedule) each business day until the balance is positive. A negative balance may result due to an Overdraft/NSF, or other fees. To the extent prohibited by law, if you owe a debt to us (either now or in the future), you grant us a right of setoff to, and a security interest in, all of your accounts to secure the debt. Debts include any overdrafts or fees you owe, as well as amounts owed us by another person or entity if you have guaranteed that you will pay their debts. If the debt is due or overdue, we may discontinue Courtesy Pay use the funds in any of your accounts to pay all or part of the debt. If your account is a joint account, we may use the funds in the joint account to pay the debt of any account owner. Our security interest will be governed by Uniform Commercial Code Article 9, whether Article 9 applies by its terms or not. We do not have to give you any prior notice to apply the funds. You expressly agree that our rights extend to any electronically deposited federal or state benefit payments (including Social Security benefits). If you do not want your benefits applied in this way, you may change your direct deposit instructions at any time without prior noticewith the person or organization paying the benefits. If any federal benefits or other payments are deposited to your account after you become ineligible to receive them, we may setoff against any of your accounts to recover the payments if we're obligated to return funds to the payor. For checking accounts, statements will be made available to you monthly. For savings accounts, statements will be made available to you quarterly. Other than the crediting of interest, if you have had electronic transactions on your savings account, then statements will be made available to you monthly. Certificate of Deposit (CD) statements will be made available to you annually. If you request to combine CD detail with a checking account, then the CD information that will be included will be minimal CD detail, not a full statement. The specific dates covered by your account statement will be on your statement. You will receive statements by mail (fee may apply), unless you choose to receive electronic statements (no fee). If you choose to receive your statements electronically, you can access them through ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇. We have made the statement available to you on the day we notify you that the electronic statement is available or the day we mail your paper statement to you. If your address or email is not valid, the statement will be considered available to you on the day we generated it. If you receive paper statements, we will send statements to the current mailing address listed on our records. Statements will be sent via USPS mail. If we receive returned mail for you, we will attempt to contact you via the contact information we have on file for you, in order to update our records. A Returned Mail fee will apply. Accounts with common ownership may be combined on a single statement, at your request. If accounts are included on a combined statement and you don't want that, notify us and we'll separate the statements. That change will affect only future statements.
