Overtime During Layoffs Clause Samples

The "Overtime During Layoffs" clause defines how overtime work is managed for employees who remain employed during periods of workforce reduction. Typically, this clause outlines whether remaining employees are eligible or required to work overtime, how overtime pay is calculated, and any limitations or special conditions that apply during layoffs. For example, it may specify that overtime must be approved in advance or that certain roles are exempt from overtime during these periods. The core function of this clause is to ensure fair and consistent treatment of overtime work during layoffs, preventing misunderstandings and managing labor costs effectively.
