Common use of Packaging and Labelling Clause in Contracts

Packaging and Labelling. 7.8.1 Where applicable, the Supplier shall provide such packaging of the material and equipment as is required to prevent their damage or deterioration during transit to their final destination, as indicated in the contract. 7.8.2 The method of packaging, labeling and marking shall comply strictly with such special requirements as shall be specified and attached to the Contract and particular Order. 7.8.3 The labelling, marking and documentation within and outside the packages shall comply strictly with such special requirements as shall be expressly provided for in the contract. 7.8.4 The materials and equipment shall be packed in good condition suitable for sea/air/road/rail dispatch. Hazard in transit to the final destination shall include rough handling and storage in tropical conditions. 7.8.5 The Supplier shall enclose a packing list in each package and all documents relating to the Order shall show the Tender reference number and name against the items or package indicating the supplier or supplier’s agent as the consignee.
