Common use of Part B Clause in Contracts

Part B. The employer shall make every reasonable effort to meet the request of the employees who elect to defer the payment of severance pay in accordance with the Severance Pay Article of the applicable Collective Agreement to a quarter in the fiscal year commencing April 2019. However, those employees who have been notified in writing by the Employer that they will not be able to receive payment of severance in their quarter of choice in fiscal year 2019/20, may within thirty (30) days of the date of such notice, elect in writing to receive their severance payment in an alternate quarter in the 2019/2020 fiscal year.
