Representation. No employee or group of employees shall undertake to represent the Union at meetings with the Employer without the proper authorization of the Union. To implement this, the Union shall supply the Employer with the names of its officers and similarly, the Employer shall supply the Union with a list of its supervisory or other personnel with whom the Union may be required to transact business.

The Union maintains the right to designate who shall serve as stewards, including the Lead ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. 4. The Company agrees to grant permission, as may be necessary, for the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or Union representatives to carry out the investigation and processing of grievances. Such arrangements shall include permission for Stewards to leave their job assignment to investigate and/or bring about a proper and expeditious disposition of a grievance in their location, department or area designated to their representation to a maximum of 1 hour per week. 5. The Company shall pay Stewards their regular hourly earnings for time spent processing grievances during their regular work hours. The Company will recognize one (1) Lead Stewardfor the bargaining unit. The Lead ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ will be granted up to one hour per day or 5 hours per week to attend to union business without loss of pay. Before leaving his/her job, Lead ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall obtain approval from the Company, which approval shall not be unreasonably denied. Such time may be extended as circumstances warrant with the mutual consent of the Company and the Union. Representation. 50.1 The Parties recognise the role of the Employees’ on-site representative has in seeking to ensure industrial harmony on the site or at the workplace. Further the Parties recognise that the on-site representative is a first point of contact for an Employee who has an employment related grievance or a grievance, query or concern arising under the terms of the Agreement. 50.2 A Union Delegate/Employee Representative shall, upon notification to the Employer, be recognised as an accredited representative of the employees and, if an employee seeks representation by the representative, that representative will be allowed all necessary time during working hours to submit to the Employer employment related matters affecting the employees he/she represents. At all other times the Union Delegate/Employee Representative will perform productive work within their range of qualifications and competence. Further, the Union Delegate/Employee Representative shall be allowed reasonable time during working hours to attend to such matters affecting the employees including the right to attend appropriate meetings, Disputes Board hearings, FWC hearings and the like. 50.3 The Parties recognise that Union Delegates may be involved in assisting Employees where requested pursuant to the dispute resolution procedure of this Agreement.

In accordance with this acknowledgment, Stewards shall not absent themselves from their work without first obtaining the permission of their immediate supervisors, such permission not to be unreasonably withheld, nor shall such Stewards absent themselves from their work for more time than is reasonably necessary. In accordance with this understanding, the Employer shall not make any deductions from the regular pay of a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ for time so spent during his/her regular working hours. Where an employee requests representation by another ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, the Employer will comply with this request within a reasonable period of time. 7.03 The Employer shall not be liable for the pay of any ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or for any other member of any Committee provided for herein or for any employee represented by the Union when such person is absent from work in the preparation for or attendance at arbitration hearings. 7.04 The Employer acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select a Grievance Committee which shall consist of three (3) Union members, one of whom shall act as Chairperson of the Grievance Committee. The Employer will recognize and deal with the said Committee as provided in the grievance procedure. (a) The Employer acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select a Negotiating Committee of not more than five (5) employees who have attained at least six
