Part-Time Instructional Workload. A part-time faculty member’s instructional workload is the proportion of hours worked compared to a full-time workload of thirty (30) classroom hours per week. Instructional workload for part-time faculty is defined as the hours assigned to regular classroom preparation and instruction in addition to attendance and enrollment reporting, and similar work activities outside classroom instruction.
6.1.1 The maximum instructional load allowed is 67%. Faculty members who wish to increase their load above 60% must complete the appropriate application. The District holds the right to determine faculty members load contingent upon the availability of assignments and the needs of the District.
