Past Due Receivables Sample Clauses

The "Past Due Receivables" clause defines how a contract addresses payments that have not been made by their due date. Typically, this clause outlines the procedures for identifying overdue amounts, the calculation and application of late fees or interest, and the steps the creditor may take to recover the outstanding balance, such as sending notices or suspending services. Its core practical function is to incentivize timely payment and provide a clear framework for handling late payments, thereby reducing disputes and financial risk for the party owed money.
