Common use of Payments at Termination Clause in Contracts

Payments at Termination. When permanent employees covered herein leave the service of the City of Santa ▇▇▇▇▇▇, they shall be entitled to lump sum payoff of vacation days, unused compensatory time and unused deferred holidays, as defined in Section 4.01 of this agreement. No claim shall be made against the City for the use or payoff of unused sick leave, nor shall the effective date of termination be extended by use of compensatory time, sick leave, vacation or personal leave days.
