Peer Observation Sample Clauses

Peer Observation. The Lecturer faculty member may choose to have an announced classroom observation, by physical or virtual means, by a peer evaluator once per appointment period. The peer evaluator should be from a closely related discipline. The peer evaluator will be jointly chosen by the Department Chair or Program Coordinator and the Lecturer Faculty member. If the two are unable to agree upon an evaluator, the ▇▇▇▇ or Associate ▇▇▇▇ shall make a determination. The evaluator will provide a written assessment of the Lecturer Faculty’s teaching to him/her and to the Department Chair or Program Coordinator. The assessment will be included in his/her Personnel File within two weeks of the assessment. 13.3.1.3.1 Faculty at the rank of Lecturer may be evaluated by Senior or Principal Lecturers, and Associate Professors or Professors. Senior Lecturers may be evaluated by Senior or Principal Lecturers, and Associate Professors or Professors. Principal Lecturers may be evaluated by Principal Lecturers, Associate Professors, or Professors.
Peer Observation. The process of peer observation involves teachers that review instruction through classroom observation and examination of instructional methods, materials used and lesson design. The process of peer observation is considered a vital part of teacher improvement.
Peer Observation. A supervising administrator or an Adjunct or Associate Professor may request a peer observation at any time. Written comments will be shared with the Professor and supervising administrator within 30 working days of the initial observation.

A peer, chosen in collaboration between the faculty member being evaluated and the chair of his/her post-tenure evaluation committee shall complete a peer evaluation during the fourth year of the evaluation cycle. b. The peer may be a professional in the faculty member’s discipline from off campus.
Peer Observation. (a) Only one peer observation is required for each faculty member being evaluated. (b) The faculty member being evaluated will submit a list of up to three (3) names of tenured faculty members to serve as potential peer observers. Peer Observation. The non-tenured faculty member will observe the classroom of a tenured faculty member a minimum of once per semester.  The tenured faculty member’s classroom to be observed will be agreed upon by the non-tenured faculty member, the peer assistance committee members, and the tenured faculty member to be observed.  Follow-up discussion will be held between peer assistance committee members and the non- tenured faculty member. This follow-up discussion may be part of second, fourth, and fifth semester conference with the peer assistance committee.  The appropriate approved form will be obtained from the Office of Instruction.
