Common use of PERFORMANCE OF DUTY Clause in Contracts

PERFORMANCE OF DUTY. 16.1 Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to give an employee the right to strike, and no employee shall strike or refuse to perform his/her assigned duties to the best of his/her ability during the term of this Agreement. The Guild agrees that it will not condone or cause any strike, slowdown, mass sick call or any other form of work stoppage or interference to the normal operation of the Seattle Police Department during the term of this Agreement. 16.2 Neither an employee nor the City will ask for or volunteer to waive any provisions of this contract, unless such waiver is mutually agreed upon by the Police Guild and the City.
