Common use of Periodic Testing Clause in Contracts

Periodic Testing. Sworn Officers will be required to undergo a chemical test for dangerous drugs when they are required to take a physical examination as a condition of maintaining their USCG-issued license. At the present time, 46 CFR 10.709 requires that Sworn Officers undergo an annual physical examination in order to maintain their license. Therefore, the required chemical drug test will be conducted at the same time as the physical examination, and the specific testing procedure to be followed is described in Attachment #2. Such testing will be conducted on City time and Sworn Officers will be paid for time spent undergoing such tests.
