Permanent Total Disablement. We will not pay the Benefit under Item 7 - Permanent Total Disablement if the Insured Person is under 16 or over 65 years of age at the date of the Bodily Injury.

Permanent Total Disablement a) If the Primary Insured Member and/or his/her Spouse as specified in the Certificate of Insurance suffers an Injury during the Cover Period, which directly results in any of the following Insured Events within twelve calendar months of the occurrence of the Injury, the company will pay the amount specified against this Benefit in the Certificate of Insurance:

Permanent Total Disablement. (PTD) i) Loss of sight of both eyes, or Physical Separation/ Loss of Use of two entire hands or two entire feet, or one entire hand and one entire foot, or of such Loss of sight of one eye and such Physical Separation/ Loss of Use of one entire hand or one entire foot. ii) Physical Separation/ Loss of Use of two hands or two feet, or of one hand and one foot, or of Loss of sight of one eye and Loss of Use of one hand or one foot. iii) If such Injury shall as a direct consequence thereof, permanently, and totally, disable the Insured Person from engaging in any employment or occupation of any description whatsoever. We will only accept one claim under this Benefit in the lifetime of the Insured Person. On the acceptance of a claim under this Benefit, all cover under this Benefit in respect of the Insured Person shall immediately and automatically cease but insurance cover under any other applicable Benefits under this Policy whether in the present Period of Insurance or any subsequent Period of Insurance shall continue subject to the availability of the Sum Insured and the terms, conditions and exclusions of the Policy. This benefit is applicable on an individual basis irrespective of type of policy (Individual/ Floater).
Permanent Total Disablement. The company shall pay the benefit equal to 100% of Sum Insured, specified in the policy schedule, if an insured Person suffers Permanent Total Disablement of the nature specified below, solely and directly due to an Accident during Period of Insurance while the Insured Person is travelling as a passenger on a Common Carrier, provided that the Permanent Total Disablement occurs within 365 days from the date of the Accident: a) Total and irrecoverable loss of sight of both eyes or b) Physical separation or loss of use of both hands or feet or c) Physical separation or loss of use of one hand and one foot or d) loss of sight of one eye and Physical separation or loss of use of hand or foot
Permanent Total Disablement. A permanent, total and irrecoverable disablement which totally prevents an Insured Person from working in their usual occupation which in all probability will continue for the remainder of their natural life as determined by a Medical Consultant.
