Permitted Uses. 1. The Licensee and the Institutions which participate in this license agreement may: a. Make such local temporary copies of the Licensed Material as are necessary to ensure efficient use of the Licensed Material by Authorised Users, provided that such use is subject to all the terms and conditions of this Licence Agreement; b. Provide Authorised Users with an integrated access and index to the Licensed Material and all other similar material licensed from other publishers. The Licensed Material or Parts thereof may be compiled, indexed and catalogued (including, without limitation, the header data and abstracts) by the Licensee and the Institutions. Anything thereby created or compiled may be integrated into the products and services of the Institutions. Metadata may be integrated into any other library and information system (including but not limited to search engines of commercial corporations provided that the Metadata is not sold, lent, re-licensed, or distributed in any manner that violates the terms and conditions of the licence). The Licensed Material can be integrated without restriction (including, but not limited to) digital course reserve collections, in virtual research environments in which authorised institutions participate as well as in the virtual specialised libraries operated by authorised institutions. The Licensed Material may be used to perform and engage in textmining/data mining activities, including but not limited to full text indexing. Notwithstanding the above-mentioned rights the use of Licensed Material shall be limited to Authorised Users. c. Supply to a user of another library within Germany (whether by post, fax or secure electronic transmission, whereby the electronic file is deleted immediately after printing) a single paper copy of an electronic original of an individual document. d. Run test routines, verifying access to all licensed items. Testing conditions will be clearly defined. Usage generated by test runs will not be part of the usage statistics delivered, e. Allow Authorised Users to: - Access the Licensed Material by Secure Authentication in order to search, retrieve, display and view the Licensed Material; - Electronically save Parts of the Licensed Material; - Print out single copies of Parts of the Licensed Material; - Incorporate Parts of the Licensed Material in printed and electronic course packs, study packs, resource lists and in any other material (including but not limited to multi-media works) and/or in virtual and managed environments (including but not limited to virtual learning environments, managed learning environments, virtual research environments and library environments) hosted on a Secure Network. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and author. Course packs in non-electronic non-print perceptible form, such as Braille, may also be offered to Authorised Users; - Incorporate Parts of the Licensed Material in printed or electronic form in assignments and portfolios, theses and in dissertations ("the Academic Works"), including reproductions of the Academic Works for personal use and library deposit. Reproductions in printed or electronic form of Academic Works may be provided to sponsors of such Academic Works. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source; - Provide single printed or electronic copies of single Parts of the Licensed Material at the request of other individual Authorised Users; - Provide single printed or electronic copies of single Parts of the Licensed Material to third-party colleagues for their scholarly or research use within the context of collaborative research; - Display, download and print Parts of the Licensed Material for the purpose of promotion of the Licensed Material, testing of the Licensed Material, or for training other Authorised Users; - Publicly display or publicly perform Parts of the Licensed Material as part of a presentation at a seminar, conference, or workshop, or other such similar activity; - Make such copies of training material and network such training material as may be required for the purpose of using the Licensed Material in accordance with this Licence Agreement; - Deposit in perpetuity the learning and teaching objects as referred to in § 3.1.b on servers operated by the Institution. The use of such material shall be limited to Authorised Users. f. In case of technical breakdowns (including but not limited to downtimes of the Publisher's Platform or to incorrect administered IP ranges) provide Institutions or Authorized Users with electronic copies of single Parts of the Licensed Material of the Licensed Material.

Permitted Uses. 1. The Licensee Institution shall be entitled, for Educational Purposes only: to Mount and use Metadata in bespoke or commercially available library information systems to manage library operations, including combining such Metadata with metadata from other sources and/or relating to other materials, and downloading, printing, communicating, displaying, supplying for use by others, and providing public access to the Institutions which participate in this license agreement may: a. Make such local temporary copies of same; to communicate, perform, display, download and print parts of, or extracts from, Licensed Content, to provide Authorised Users with access to the Licensed Material as are necessary Content for Educational Purposes via a Secure Network for the purposes set out in Clause 3.2; to ensure efficient display, download and print the whole of, or parts of, or extracts from, Licensed Content for the purpose of promoting or testing, and training in the use of the Licensed Material; to convert or adapt Licensed Material by Authorised Usersinto Braille or other formats or forms suitable for providing access to, provided that such and use is subject to all the terms and conditions of this Licence Agreement; b. Provide by, Authorised Users with an integrated impaired mental and/or physical abilities and to provide access and index to such converted or adapted form for the Licensed Material and all other similar material licensed from other publishers. The Licensed Material or Parts thereof may be compiled, indexed and catalogued (including, without limitation, the header data and abstracts) by the Licensee and the Institutions. Anything thereby created or compiled may be integrated into the products and services purposes of the Institutions. Testing conditions will be clearly defined. Usage generated by test runs will not be part and permit use, in accordance with this Licence of, any archived copies of the usage statistics delivered, e. Allow Licensed Material made in accordance with Licence Schedule 3 (1(b)) and/or 3 (1(c)), if and for so long as the Publisher so fails to provide such access; and if no such archived copies are maintained, to make and supply to a reasonably agreed recognised secure repository a copy of the Licensed Material in electronic form, for the sole purpose of the repository retaining the same for use by the Institution and its Authorised Users to(without prejudice to any other purpose for which the repository may be permitted by the Publisher to retain the same). The Institution shall be entitled to permit Authorised Users, for Educational Purposes only: - Access to access the Licensed Material by Secure Authentication in order to search, retrieve, display and view the Licensed Material; - Electronically to copy and paste, download, print and save Parts electronic or print copies of the parts of or extracts from Licensed Material, for individual use or for use in tutorials or study groups; - Print out single to copy and paste, download, print, save, convert or adapt copies or parts of Parts of the Licensed Material; - Incorporate Parts of the or extracts from Licensed Material in printed and electronic course packsfor the purposes of criticism, study packsreview, resource lists and in any other material (including but not limited to multi-media works) and/or in virtual and managed environments (including but not limited to virtual learning environmentscaricature, managed learning environments, virtual research environments and library environments) hosted on a Secure Networkparody or pastiche. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of Authorised Users must specify the source, listing title and author. Course packs in non-electronic non-print perceptible formauthor of the extract, such as Brailletitle and author of the work, may also be offered to Authorised Users; - Incorporate Parts copyright notice, and each publisher of the Licensed Material used in such ways unless this would not be possible for reasons of practicality or otherwise; to ▇▇▇▇-up or comment (electronically or otherwise) parts of Licensed Material (including by tagging, highlighting paragraphs and sentences, bookmarking, inserting hyperlinks, exporting references, and writing personal commentary, and saving the same); to convert or adapt Licensed Material into formats or forms suitable for providing access to, and use by, Authorised Users with impaired mental and/or physical abilities and to make copies of such converted or adapted Licensed Material for use in accordance with this Clause 3.2; to incorporate parts of or extracts from the Licensed Content in printed or electronic form in assignments and assignments, portfolios, theses theses, dissertations and in dissertations other submissions ("the Academic Works"), including and to make reproductions of the Academic Works for personal use and use, library deposit. Authorised Users must specify the source, listing title and author of the extract, title and author of the work, copyright notice, and each publisher of the Licensed Material used in such similar activityways; - Make such to save and/or deposit in perpetuity parts of the Licensed Material in electronic repositories on a Secure Network operated by the Institution, access to and use of which is limited to Authorised Users; to download and make copies of training material the whole or any parts of the Licensed Material for the purposes of, and network such training material as may be required to perform and engage in computational analysis (including text and data mining) using the Licensed Material for the purpose of using research and other Educational Purposes but not for Commercial Use, and to permit Authorised Users to distribute and display and otherwise use (publicly or otherwise), other than for Commercial Use, the results, provided that such results do not reproduce the whole or a substantial part of any Licensed Content. Copies of Licensed Content made under this Clause 3.2.10 shall be deleted promptly after the computational analysis has been completed; to download Licensed Material in whole or in part for the Authorised User’s personal Educational Purposes onto personal computing devices including tablets, e-book readers and laptops, and stand-alone computers, without any limit in number. The Publisher makes no warranty as to the suitability of any Licensed Material for use on such devices; and to provide access to, communicate to, and share material resulting from any use under this Clause 3.2 with other Authorised Users for their use in accordance with this Licence Agreement; - Deposit in perpetuity the learning and teaching objects as referred to in § 3.1.b on servers operated by the InstitutionLicence. The use provisions of such material shall be limited this Licence are without limitation to Authorised Users. f. In case of technical breakdowns (including but not limited to downtimes the rights of the Publisher's Platform Institution or Authorised Users to incorrect administered IP rangesdo any act permitted under the Copyright, Design and Patents ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇, including Chapter III (Acts Permitted in relation to Copyright Works) provide Institutions or Authorized Users with electronic copies of single Parts of permitted under any CC-BY or other open access licence applicable to the Licensed Material of or otherwise which, apart from the rights granted under this Licence, would not infringe the intellectual property rights in the Licensed MaterialMaterial and, notwithstanding any provision of this Licence, the Institution and Authorised Users shall remain entitled to do any such acts. Unless expressly set out in this Clause 3, or in relation to specific Licensed Content or specific Permitted Uses in the Offer, there shall be no limit on the number of Authorised Users to which this Licence (including Clause 3.1 and Clause 3.2) applies.

This permission is subject to the Licensed Materialrelevant embargo period specified in the list of journal embargo periods provided by the Publisher and updated from time to time. For clarity, the Publisher's standard embargo period for Institutions covered by this Agreement is 12 months and the Publisher will keep the Licensee informed of any exceptions to this embargo period. The same permission is granted to Authorised Institutions to which the respective authors are affiliated.

The Licensee and the Institutions which participate in this license agreement may: a. a) Make such local temporary copies of the Licensed Material as are necessary to ensure efficient use of the Licensed Material by Authorised Users, provided that such use is subject to all the terms and conditions of this Licence Agreement; b. b) Provide Authorised Users with an integrated access and index to the Licensed Material and all other similar material licensed from other publishers. The Licensed Material or Parts parts thereof may be compiled, indexed and catalogued (including, without limitation, the header data and abstracts) by the Licensee and the Institutions. Anything thereby created or compiled may be integrated into the products and services of the Institutions. Metadata may be integrated into any other library and information system (including but not limited to search engines of commercial corporations provided that the Metadata is not sold, lent, re-licensed, or distributed in any manner that violates the terms and conditions of the licence). The Licensed Material can be integrated without restriction (including, but not limited to) digital course reserve collections, in virtual research environments in which authorised institutions participate as well as in the virtual specialised libraries operated by authorised institutions. The Licensed Material may be used to perform and engage in textminingtext mining/data mining activities, including but not limited to full text indexing. Notwithstanding the above-mentioned rights the use of Licensed Material shall be limited to Authorised Users. c. c) Supply to a user of another library within Germany (whether by post, fax or secure electronic transmission, whereby the electronic file is deleted immediately after printing) a single paper copy of an electronic original of an individual document. d. d) Run test routines, verifying access to all licensed items. Testing conditions will be clearly defined. Usage generated by test runs will not be part of the usage statistics delivered, e. e) Allow Authorised Users to: - Access the Licensed Material by Secure Authentication in order to search, retrieve, display and view the Licensed Material; - Electronically save Parts parts of the Licensed Material; - Print out single copies of Parts parts of the Licensed Material; - Incorporate Parts parts of the Licensed Material in printed and electronic course packs, study packs, resource lists and in any other material (including but not limited to multi-media works) and/or in virtual and managed environments (including but not limited to virtual learning environments, managed learning environments, virtual research environments and library environments) hosted on a Secure Network. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and author. Course packs in non-electronic non-print perceptible form, such as Braille, may also be offered to Authorised Users; - Incorporate Parts parts of the Licensed Material in printed or electronic form in assignments and portfolios, theses and in dissertations ("the Academic Works"), including reproductions of the Academic Works for personal use and library deposit. Reproductions in printed or electronic form of Academic Works may be provided to sponsors of such Academic Works. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source; - Provide single printed or electronic copies of single Parts of the Licensed Material articles at the request of other individual Authorised Users; - Provide single printed or electronic copies of single Parts of the Licensed Material to third-party colleagues for their scholarly or research use within the context of collaborative research; - Display, download and print Parts parts of the Licensed Material for the purpose of promotion of the Licensed Material, testing of the Licensed Material, or for training other Authorised Users; - Publicly display or publicly perform Parts parts of the Licensed Material as part of a presentation at a seminar, conference, or workshop, or other such similar activity; - Make such copies of training material and network such training material as may be required for the purpose of using the Licensed Material in accordance with this Licence Agreement; - Deposit in perpetuity the learning and teaching objects as referred to in § 3.1.b on servers operated by the Institution. The use of such material shall be limited to Authorised Users. f. f) In case of technical breakdowns (including but not limited to downtimes of the Publisher's Platform publisher platform or to incorrect administered IP ranges) provide Institutions or Authorized Users with electronic copies of single Parts of the Licensed Material articles of the Licensed Material. 2. Authors from Institutions are granted permission free of charge to store their articles which are part of the Licensed Material generally in the form published by the publisher (e.g. PDF) immediately after publication (if not specified otherwise) in an institutional or discipline-specific repository of their choice and to make them available in Open Access. The same permission is granted to Authorised Institutions to which the respective authors are affiliated (s. § 1. m). 3. This Licence shall be deemed to complement and extend the rights of Licensee, the Institutions and Authorised Users under the German Copyright Law and other applicable legislation in Germany and nothing in this Licence Agreement shall constitute a waiver of any statutory rights held by the Institutions and Authorised Users from time to time under these Legislations or any amending legislation.

Permitted Uses. 1. The Licensee and the Institutions which participate in this license agreement may: a. Make such local temporary copies of the Licensed Material as are necessary to ensure efficient use of the Licensed Material by Authorised Users, provided that such use is subject to all the terms and conditions of this Licence Agreement; b. Provide Authorised Users with an integrated access and index to the Licensed Material and all other similar material licensed from other publishers. The Licensed Material or Parts thereof may be compiled, indexed and catalogued (including, without limitation, the header data and abstracts) by the Licensee and the Institutions. Anything thereby created or compiled may be integrated into the products and services of the Institutions. Metadata may be integrated into any other library and information system (including but not limited to search engines of commercial corporations provided that the Metadata is not sold, lent, re-licensed, or distributed in any manner that violates the terms and conditions of the licence). The Licensed Material can be integrated without restriction (including, but not limited to) digital course reserve collections, in virtual research environments in which authorised institutions participate as well as in the virtual specialised libraries operated by authorised institutions. The Licensed Material may be used to perform and engage in textmining/data mining activities, including but not limited to full text indexing. Notwithstanding the above-mentioned rights the use of Licensed Material shall be limited to Authorised Users. c. Supply to a user of another library within Germany (whether by post, fax or secure electronic transmission, whereby the electronic file is deleted immediately after printing) a single paper copy of an electronic original of an individual document. d. Run test routines, verifying access to all licensed items. Testing conditions will be clearly defined. Usage generated by test runs will not be part of the usage statistics delivered, e. Allow Authorised Users to: - Access the Licensed Material by Secure Authentication in order to search, retrieve, display and view the Licensed Material; - Electronically save Parts of the Licensed Material; - Print out single copies of Parts of the Licensed Material; - Incorporate Parts of the Licensed Material in printed and electronic course packs, study packs, resource lists and in any other material (including but not limited to multi-media works) and/or in virtual and managed environments (including but not limited to virtual learning environments, managed learning environments, virtual research environments and library environments) hosted on a Secure Network. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and author. Course packs in non-electronic non-print perceptible form, such as Braille, may also be offered to Authorised Users; - Incorporate Parts of the Licensed Material in printed or electronic form in assignments and portfolios, theses and in dissertations ("the Academic Works"), including reproductions of the Academic Works for personal use and library deposit. Reproductions in printed or electronic form of Academic Works may be provided to sponsors of such Academic Works. Licensee may charge a single paper copy fee to cover costs of an electronic original copying or printing portions of an individual documentLicensed Materials for Authorized Users or Interlibrary Loan requests. They should be able to utilize information for the purpose purposes of promotion personal, educational, and non-commercial development and for scholarly research as provided for by fair use regulations. Fair use should include scholarly sharing, use for distance education programs, electronic reserves, and the creation of the Licensed Material, testing of the Licensed Material, or for training other Authorised Users; - Publicly display or publicly perform Parts of the Licensed Material as part of a presentation at a seminar, conference, or workshop, or other such similar activity; - Make such copies of training material and network such training material as may be required for the purpose of using the Licensed Material in accordance with this Licence Agreement; - Deposit in perpetuity the learning and teaching objects as referred to in § 3.1.b on servers operated by the Institution.
