Common use of Planning and Preparation Time Clause in Contracts

Planning and Preparation Time. No teacher shall be required to teach more than 180 minutes or four (4) consecutive periods without a relief period unless he/she has agreed to it. The administration shall make every reasonable effort to provide full-time teachers with a planning period in the morning and a planning period in the afternoon of each school day.

Planning and Preparation Time. No teacher shall be required to teach more than 180 minutes or four (4) consecutive periods without a relief period unless he/she has agreed to it. The administration shall make every reasonable effort to provide full-time teachers with a planning period in the morning and a planning period in the afternoon of each school day. It is recognized that some meetings have to be scheduled during a teacher’s planning, preparation and class time. A reasonable effort will be made to consult the teacher prior to the setting of dates and times, thus causing minimal disruption.
