Time Requirements. The Independent Contractor will not be required to follow or establish a regular or daily work schedule, but shall devote during the term of this Agreement the time, energy and skill as necessary to perform the services of this engagement and shall, periodically or at any time upon the request of the Company, submit information as to the amount of time worked and scope of work performed.

19:4 The employee's normal in-school work day shall be seven and one-half continuous hours and shall normally fall between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. Except in schools that have a six hour student day, the time required shall be governed by adding sixty minutes to the student day in the specific work location and may be divided before or after the student day in a manner best suited to building operations. Should the State require an increase in the student day, then the employees normal in-school workday shall be increased the same amount of time. Should the District determine the need to go to "split sessions" in some building(s) it shall meet with representatives of the Association to develop the procedures necessary to implement the program.
19:4.1 In addition to the in-school day set forth above, employees agree to direct their major effort toward activities which promote the educational process and which are necessary to clarify school business or provide professional growth. Recognizing that circumstances may vary from school to school, the Board and Association agree to the following needs:
(a) Those meetings necessary to fulfill requirements for Middle States or State Department of Education school evaluations, which are in addition to those held during the school day.
(b) Two professional meetings per month; e.g., building faculty, department, building committee, or grade level meetings. Such meetings shall be held on the same day of the week as established by the Superintendent.
(c) Those essential meetings necessary beyond paragraph (b) to resolve critical school problems, but not to exceed a total of four (4) per month for combini...
Time Requirements. 7-1 As a professional, each Teacher is expected to devote to his/her work the time necessary to accomplish the task at hand. As a part of their professional responsibility, Teachers shall (a) attend department, curriculum, and other professional staff meetings designed to provide meaningful professional growth or to clarify school business in general; (b) assist pupils with their subject problems on an after school basis and (c) participate in school-related activities at the direction of the administration. Time, frequency, and notice of such activities shall be reasonable. Student activities, which require Teacher supervision after school hours, will be initially handled on a voluntary basis. In the event there are insufficient volunteers, the duties will be assigned by the school administration. Non-teaching duties may be assigned to personnel other than Teachers. Scheduled Hampton School District-wide and building-wide staff meetings will normally have four (4) days’ advance notice and an agenda. It is recognized that the demands upon Teachers for professional growth individually, and for program development collaboratively, have significantly increased. Such demands will continue as professional staff explore, develop and implement new programs and practices to serve the diverse needs of students in a changing society. Those scheduling required meetings need to be sensitive to the growing demands upon Teacher time lest their self- renewal, classroom follow-up and preparation time be impacted to the degree that Teacher effectiveness in the classroom is diminished. The Superintendent will meet upon request from the representatives of the Association each month to discuss the administration of 7-1.
7-2 The Association agrees that a Teacher’s day is not necessarily coterminous with that of a pupil; further, that the Board has a right to establish the time of the pupils’ and Teachers’ day. Changes in the length of day shall not be made without meeting and consulting with the Association.
7-3 In general, the Teachers shall be free to act with professional discretion relative to their time of arrival at school in the morning or leaving of school in the afternoon. However, it is expected that Teachers will arrive at school approximately fifteen (15) minutes prior to the normal opening of school and will remain in school approximately fifteen
Time Requirements. 10:1 The employees’ normal in-school workday shall be consistent with State Law, which is currently seven and one half (7-1/2) hours. Staff employees who are assigned to both elementary and secondary schools (grades K-12) shall follow either an elementary or secondary schedule and work in accordance with the teacher’s normal workday (7-1/2 hours). It is the intention of the parties for teachers to be in their first assignment five (5) minutes prior to student arrival.

10:3 Planning and preparation time is to be scheduled during the regular student day and should be used for the purpose of professional preparation and other professional responsibilities related to the employee’s assignment including such things as materials, lesson plans, consulting with parents, collaboratively scheduled meetings with administration and co-workers, etc. As a professional, staff need to maintain their planning time for these activities in order to accomplish these goals and budget his/her time according to his/her professional judgment. On infrequent occasions, an employee may leave the building in accordance with District procedure.
10:4 Employees shall have a daily consecutive 30-minute duty-free lunch period in addition to planning and preparation time. The duty-free lunch period will be uninterrupted except in the case of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances. Such lunch period shall occur during the time scheduled for student lunches except in schools where there is only one lunch period in the student day, or when another time has been mutually agreed upon by the employee and the building administrator. The employee may leave the building during duty-free lunch periods in accordance with established District procedures.
10:4.1 Employees with assignments that require travel during the workday will receive appropriate travel time, lunch and planning.
10:5 The Board and Association agree that meetings may need to be conducted beyond the normal workday.

Time Requirements. The Executive agrees that he will devote 80% of his business time and attention during regular business hours to the business affairs of the Company and that during the period of such employment the Executive will not, without the prior permission of the Board of Directors of the Company, engage in any other business enterprise or enterprises which require in excess of 20% of the Executive's time or attention. It is understood that the Executive will perform certain of the services contemplated in this Agreement outside of the Company's offices. The foregoing shall not prevent the purchase, ownership or sale by the Executive of investments or securities of publicly-held companies and any other business which is not competitive and does not have any business relations with the Company or any subsidiary of the Company, provided the time or attention devoted by the Executive to such activities does not interfere with the performance of his duties hereunder.
