Point of Order against Advance Appropriations in the Senate. This section reinstates a longstanding 60-vote point of order against advance appropriations, with exemptions for certain accounts. Newly added to the list of exempt accounts is the Indian Health Service.
Point of Order. It shall not be in order— (1) in the Senate to consider any bill, joint resolution, amendment, amendment between the Houses, conference report, or motion that would cause a net increase in on-budget deficits in excess of $5,000,000,000 in any of the 4 consecutive 10-fiscal year periods described in subsection (a); and (2) in the House of Representatives to consider any bill or joint resolution, or amendment thereto or conference report thereon, that would cause a net increase in direct spending in excess of $5,000,000,000 in any of the 4 consecutive 10- fiscal year periods described in subsection (a).
Point of Order. Except as provided in paragraph (2), it shall not be in order in the Senate to consider any bill, joint resolution, motion, amendment, amendment between the Houses, or conference report that would pro- vide an advance appropriation.

Point of Order. 27.1. A Member may raise a point of order at any time. The Mayor will hear the Member immediately. A point of order may only relate to an alleged breach of these Council Procedure Rules or the law. The Member must indicate the rule or law and the way in which they consider it has been broken. The ruling of the Mayor on the matter will be final.

  • Rules of Order Unless State law or Board-adopted rules apply, the Board President, as the presiding officer, will use the most recent edition of ▇▇▇▇▇▇’s Rules of Order Newly Revised, as a guide when a question arises concerning procedure.

  • Duration of Order You may make an oral stop payment order which will lapse within fourteen (14) calendar days unless confirmed in writing within that time. A written stop payment order is effective for six (6) months and may be renewed in writing from time to time. We do not have to notify you when a stop payment order expires.

  • Placement of Orders The Adviser shall arrange for the placing of all orders for the purchase and sale of securities for a Fund’s account with brokers or dealers selected by the Adviser. In the selection of such brokers or dealers and the placing of such orders, the Adviser is directed at all times to seek for each Fund the most favorable execution and net price available under the circumstances. It is also understood that it is desirable for the Funds that the Adviser have access to brokerage and research services provided by brokers who may execute brokerage transactions at a higher cost to the Funds than may result when allocating brokerage to other brokers, consistent with section 28(e) of the 1934 Act and any Commission staff interpretations thereof. Therefore, the Adviser is authorized to place orders for the purchase and sale of securities for a Fund with such brokers, subject to review by the Board from time to time with respect to the extent and continuation of this practice. It is understood that the services provided by such brokers may be useful to the Adviser in connection with its or its affiliates’ services to other clients.

  • Form of Order 7.1 Subject to paragraphs 1 to 6 above, each Contracting Body may place an Order with the Supplier by serving an order in writing in substantially the form set out in Framework Agreement Schedule 4 (Order Form & Call-Off Terms). The Parties agree that any document or communication (including any document or communication in the apparent form of an Order) which is not in the form prescribed by this paragraph 7 shall not constitute an Order under this Framework Agreement. 7.2 The Contracting Body in sending an acknowledgement following receipt of the signed Order Form from the Supplier shall form a binding Call-Off Contract.

  • Accuracy of Orders; Customer Signatures You shall be responsible for the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of any orders transmitted by you on behalf of your customers by any means, including wire or telephone. In addition, you agree to guarantee the signatures of your customers when such guarantee is required by the Company and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless all persons, including us and the Funds’ transfer agent, from and against any and all loss, cost, damage or expense suffered or incurred in reliance upon such signature guarantee.
