Common use of Position Classification Clause in Contracts

Position Classification. 9.1 Whenever the Employer creates a new bargaining unit position or substantially modifies an existing position, it shall serve written notice upon the Federation, including a copy of the job description and the assigned salary level the Classification Committee deems appropriate. The Employer reserves the right to fill the new position as set forth in Article 10. 9.2 Salary level placement for each position will be set forth by the established Classification Committee and will be commensurate with job requirements.
