Common use of Positions with Additional Days Clause in Contracts

Positions with Additional Days. The positions below shall consist of the following minimum number of additional days: School Librarians 6 days High School Counselor 10 days Middle School Counselor 7 days Elementary Counselor 5 days Title and LAP teachers 6 days Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers will be provided a bank of additional days equal to eight (8) days per full-time equivalent (FTE) of CTE class instruction offered by the District. These extra days are intended to compensate for additional work outside the regular school calendar, and shall be subject to approval of the building administration. Teachers shall submit a time sheet reflecting the additional days by the 10th of the month (or second month) following the month when the work was performed. Each individual employee is limited to no more than ten (10) days per employee (pro-rated by FTE for less than full time CTE teachers), unless specifically approved in advance. The teacher will use this time for activities related to CTE program requirements. The Voc-Ag teacher may continue to receive up to twenty (20) days of pay, following the above procedures. Employees shall attend a minimum of two after-school extracurricular events or information nights to increase community involvement and engagement in the District’s program of education. These two events shall be self-selected and the teacher shall inform their administrator either prior to or after attendance. The employee work year may be extended for the above positions at the discretion of the District, such as setup of a new program or offering. Any extension of the contracted days by the District shall be computed on 1/182nd full per diem of the teacher’s contracted rate of pay.
