Posted Work Schedule. The Employer agrees to post a six (6) week work schedule for all employees covered by this Collective Agreement. Said work schedule shall be posted not later than two (2) weeks before the previous schedule expires. Any requests for special time off must be submitted to the employee’s immediate supervisor no later than the effective date of the posted schedule. Changes that are requested by employees in the two (2) week period before the six (6) week schedule taking effect will be accommodated by management if reasonably possible. There will be no changes to the posted schedule, unless by mutual agreement between the employer and the employees.
Posted Work Schedule. Work schedules showing the employee’s shifts, work days and hours shall be posted on bulletin boards in the respective department at least fourteen (14) days in advance. Posted work schedules shall not be changed in less than 14 days without consultation between the Employer and the employees affected unless an emergency is declared by the Department Head. Examples of an emergency includes flood, tornado, ice storm and other catastrophic events. An emergency may be declared either orally or in writing by the Department Head. An emergency that is orally declared by the Department Head will be reduced to writing as soon as practically possible. Any changes in the work schedule shall be subject to the grievance procedure. Employees must be notified at least one (1) hour in advance of the shift that an emergency situation exists to avoid payment of reporting time. If an employee is not notified and reports for work and the shift is changed, a minimum of two (2) hours work or pay shall be received, and counted as regular hours worked for purposes of computing overtime. A telephone call to the residence of the employee or to such other telephone number provided by the employee shall be construed as proper notification.

  • Work Schedule (A) Where an employee has an established schedule, a change in workdays or shifts will be posted no less than 14 calendar days in advance and will reflect at least a two workweek schedule; however, the state will make a good faith effort to reflect a one month schedule. (B) In the event of a declared emergency the notice requirement of this Section may be void. (C) The state will continue to observe the scheduling structures currently in place at each agency and agrees to bargain any change in the overall practice of how schedules are established.

  • Modified Work Week Where Employees in a unit have indicated a desire to work a modified work week, the Employer may authorize experiments with modified work week schedule, providing operational requirements permit and the provision of services are not adversely affected. The averaging period for a modified work week shall not exceed three (3) calendar weeks, and the work day shall not exceed ten (10) hours .

  • Alternate Work Schedules Workweeks and work shifts of different numbers of hours may be established for overtime-eligible employees by the Employer in order to meet business and customer service needs, as long as the alternate work schedules meet federal and state law. When there is a holiday, employees may be required to switch from their alternate work schedules to regular work schedules.
