Common use of Preliminary Examination Clause in Contracts

Preliminary Examination. 12.2.1 The Company will examine the Bids for any computational errors, for sureties furnished by Bidder, for authentication of documents submitted and completeness of the Bids. 12.2.2 Arithmetical errors will be rectified on the following basis: (a) If there is a discrepancy between the unit price and the total price that is obtained by multiplying the unit price and quantity, the unit price shall prevail and the total price will be corrected & will be binding to the Bidders. (b) If there is a discrepancy between the Total Bid Amount and the sum of total prices, the sum of total prices shall prevail and the Total Bid Amount will be corrected & will be binding to the Bidders.
