- Procedure for Union or Company Grievance. In the event that the Union or the Company has a grievance, it shall be the responsibility of the grievor to advise the other party in writing within seven (7) calendar days of the alleged violation of the Agreement, and by such notification arrange a meeting within fourteen (14) calendar days between the General Manager or his designate and a duly accredited principal officer of the Local Union or his designate. Should the grievor fail to reach a satisfactory settlement, the grievance may be submitted to Arbitration in accordance with Section 5.5. Grievances dealing with discharges and suspensions shall be registered in writing within seventy-two (72) hours (Saturdays, Sundays and General Holidays excluded) from the time of the discharge or suspension and shall commence with Step 2 of the Grievance Procedure as outlined in Article 5, Section 5.2, sub-section (b).
