Union Dues Authorization. Each employee in the bargaining unit shall, as a condition of continued employment, execute an authorization form approved and supplied by the Union providing for the deduction from the employee’s pay or salary the amount of the regular monthly or other dues, including initiation fees and assessments, payable to the Union in accordance with the Union constitution and/or bylaws.
Union Dues Authorization. All employees hired prior to the date of the signing of this Agreement must, as a condition of their continued employment, authorize the Company to deduct from their pay on the pay day the Local Union's dues deductions are made, an amount equal to the Local Union's monthly dues for the duration of the Agreement as their financial contribution to the Local Union.
Union Dues Authorization. A. The Employer and the Union agree they will not discriminate against any employee because the Employee voluntarily chooses to be a member of the Union or to otherwise pay fees to the Union for bargaining and defending the Collective Bargaining Agreement; nor will the Employer or the Union discriminate against any Employee who chooses not to be a member of, or to pay dues/fees to the Union. B. Upon being hired, a new member of the bargaining unit will be offered the choice to join the Union. If an Employee voluntarily submits a dues/fees deduction form, the Employer agrees to deduct Union dues/fees to become effective the first payday of the month following the Employee’s completion and submission of the due’s authorization form. C. All dues authorization forms shall comply with respective State and Federal laws and shall be filed with the Employer, who may return an incomplete or incorrectly completed form to the Employee for correction prior to any deductions until such deficiency is corrected. D. If the Employee chooses to withdraw his/her due authorization, the Employee shall notify the Employer and the Union, in writing on the form provided by the Union. No deduction shall be made commencing with the first full pay-period after the authorization was withdrawn. E. Should an Employee opt-out of Union membership, his/her return to Union membership shall be at the sole discretion of the Michigan Association of Public Employees.
Union Dues Authorization. A. Employees may tender the monthly membership dues or service fees by signing the "Authorization for Payroll Deductions". During the life of this Agreement and in accordance with the terms of the form of Authorization for Check-off hereinafter set forth, the Employer agrees to deduct dues or service fees from the pay of each Employee who executes or has executed the following "Authorization for Payroll Deductions" form and filed same with the Employer or its representative: B. The Employer agrees to provide this service without charge to the Union. It is understood and agreed, that the provision for deduction of the dues is for the benefit of the employees requesting same, and the Employer is under no obligation to demand or request that employees authorize such deductions as a condition of employment. C. The Union shall indemnify, protect and save the Employer harmless against and from any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that may arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Employer for the purpose of complying with this Article. In the event any action or claim is commenced against the Employer in any arbitration proceedings, or in any Court or administrative proceeding, to recover from it any sums deducted under this Article, the Union shall intervene and defend such action or claim. (The Employer will not construe the above paragraph as a means of avoiding the collection of dues or service fees.) D. Check-off deductions under all properly authorized Authorization for Check-off forms shall become effective the ninetieth (90th) day after employment date and when the Authorization is filed with the Employer. The amount shall be deducted, if possible, from the first pay of each month. E. Deductions in any calendar month shall be remitted to the designated treasurer of the Local Union with a list of those for whom dues or services have been deducted as soon as possible after the first pay period each month. F. An Employee shall cease to be subject to check-off deductions beginning with the month immediately following the month the Employee requests in writing that his authorization and request for check-off be terminated.
Union Dues Authorization. All Brokers hired prior to the date of the signing of this Agreement must, as a condition of their continued employment, authorize the Company to deduct from their pay on the pay date the Local Union’s dues deductions are made, an amount equal to the Local Union’s monthly dues for the duration of the Agreement as their financial contribution to the Local Union, All brokers hired shall, as a condition of continued employment, authorize the Company to deduct the amount equal to the Local Union’s Initiation Fees in installments of twenty-five dollars ($25.00)per week after the completion of the probationary period. This deduction shall continue until the Initiation Fee is paid in full. The Company agrees to remit such monies so deducted to the Head Office of the Local Union along with a list of the brokers from whom the money was deducted at the same time as the Union dues are remitted.
Union Dues Authorization. For each bargaining unity member who is full-time employee or who teaches two or more class periods per day in a position for a complete school term, as a condition of his/her employment, on or before thirty (30) days from the date of commencement of duties or the effective date of this Agreement, whichever is later, who elects to join the Federation the Board agrees to authorize deductions in accordance with the terms under which an employee voluntarily authorized said deductions. Dues revocations are processed by the union. In the event that an employee revokes his/her dues in accordance with the terms in which they authorized the dues deductions, the Union will notify the employer after the close of the revocations window. The Union agrees to indemnify and hold the Board harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits, orders, or judgments or other forms of liability (monetary or otherwise) brought or issued against the Board and for all legal costs that may arise out of, or by reason of, any action taken or not taken by the Board under the provisions of this Section. If an improper deduction is made and remitted to the Union, then the Union shall promptly refund any excess amount directly to the member involved.
Union Dues Authorization. All employees (including probationary employees) must, as a condition of their continued employment, authorize the Company to deduct Union dues, in an amount and in a manner as directed by the Local, as their financial contribution to the Local Union.

  • Seller’s Authority Seller has full power to execute and deliver this Agreement and all related documents, and to carry out the transactions contemplated herein. This Agreement is valid, binding and enforceable against Seller in accordance with its terms except as such enforceability may be limited by creditors' rights, laws and applicable principles of equity. Each individual executing this Agreement on behalf of Seller represents and warrants to Buyer that he or she is duly authorized to do so and thereby to bind Seller.
