Common use of Program Areas Clause in Contracts

Program Areas. Program Areas are unique clusters of employees engaged in providing a common service. There are six (6) Program Areas within the agency: General Administration; Senior and Disability Services, Linn/▇▇▇▇▇▇; Senior and Disability Services, Lincoln; Community Services Program; ▇▇▇▇▇▇ County Veteran’s Services; and Community and Economic Development. The Employer reserves the right to add or remove Program Areas as needed. When the Employer does so, the Employer shall inform the Union of the proposed implementation date at least ten (10) working days prior to that date. If the Union does not agree with this Employer action, the Union must file a notice to the Employer, in writing, to that effect. The parties will meet to resolve the disagreement. In the event the parties cannot resolve the disagreement within ten (10) working days after the first meeting, the Union may call for mediation. If a call for mediation is not received within fifteen (15) working days of the employer notice to amend the Program Area list, the Employer’s grouping decision will be considered accepted.
