The probationary teacher will develop a connection with a quality experienced teacher who will provide encouragement, classroom management advice, observation and assistance with teaching methods, modeling and help with specific problems as they arise. 2. The goal of the program is to assist with the retention of highly talented but inexperienced teachers and to provide for professional growth of mentor teachers.
